This weekend max has INSISTED on making a car wash after he found (and is rehabilitating) a beat up old one at the farmers market yesterday. The toy he’s working on (it’s in the dishwasher right now) has the rubber wipers that first touch your car when you enter the wash.
So this morning (with chris’ help) he built the water spray component of the car wash.
They’re pleased with the results, though max does want to upgrade to a remote control conveyor belt soon. We actually do have the materials to make that, but they’re not waterproof. So we still have some design pieces to work on before it’s up to his standards.
And, just like that, I’m beginning to realize we’re clearly a STEM family…

So sweet. I love watching little boys. Their minds are so inquisitive, so much fun to watch how they think and interact with their thoughts. God’s little creation, so perfect.

make it pedal powered or something, less risk/cost if you have the parts and you can hopefully get some energy out of the child in the process!

Seriously! I offered a manual version and he was like “NOT good enough!”

I’m like ‘sorry. Did realize you were the Steve Jobs of backyard mechanical toy car washes’… !
